Duke March Madness Odds: Are the Blue Devils The Best Bet in the West?
The Duke Blue Devils haven't really accomplished anything this year. Coach K is leaving after the year and in his final game at home, Duke got crushed by North Carolina. Then, in the ACC Tournament, Duke lost to Virginia Tech, giving the Hokies a chance at making the NCAA Tournament. The Hokies are hot right now but overall wouldn't have even made the NCAA Tournament without beating Duke for the ACC title. Below are some of the Duke March Madness Odds, if you're looking to bet them.

Duke March Madness Odds - First Round Game
Spread: Duke -17.5 (-105) (Bet $105 to Win $100) Moneyline (-2500) vs. 15. Cal State Fullerton
The Duke Blue Devils will be fine offensively against Cal State Fullerton. Duke is shooting 36.8% from deep while Cal State Fullerton is allowing teams to shoot 37.1%. Look out for the Blue Devils as they'll absolutely go nuts from deep with open looks galore in this first-round matchup. Cal State Fullerton also makes a living at the foul line but Duke has been very disciplined this season when it comes to fouling.

Duke +460 (Bet $100 to Win $460)
The Duke Blue Devils will get by in the first round against Cal State Fullerton. But after that game, Duke will have to face either Davidson or Michigan State. Both of these teams have long-time coaches who have made big impacts on their teams throughout the years. Davidson is a terrific offense that can really upset anyone in the tournament. Meanwhile, Michigan State was inconsistent this season but has plenty of talent to knock off any team in the NCAA. Even if Duke passes the test in the Round of 32 and makes the Sweet 16, Duke would then potentially have to face a very good defensive Texas Tech team. That could be dangerous. I'm not that high on Duke this year.

Duke +1700 (Bet $100 to Win $1700)
It would be a really cool story with Coach K retiring, but I don't think Duke is winning it all this year. The defense is suspect for the Blue Devils as they've struggled to force turnovers and rebound effectively on the defensive end. There are more well-balanced and more complete teams in the tournament this season. Duke gave up over 90 points to North Carolina when the entire alumni base of Duke was sitting in the stands. That ain't it.
