Kansas March Madness Odds: Will the Jayhawks Run the Midwest Region?

The Kansas Jayhawks are the number one seed in the Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament. That's the one side of the bracket where I just see complete chaos. However, in my opinion, the chaos starts with the two-seed, meaning Kansas is likely going to be fine at the top of the region. Below are some of the odds on Kansas, if you're looking to bet them.

First Round Game

Spread: N/A Moneyline (NA) vs. 16. Texas Southern or Texas A&M Corpus Christi **DISCLAIMER: ODDS WILL BE UPDATED AFTER THE TEXAS SOUTHERN VS TEXAS A&M CORPUS CHRISTI GAME IS PLAYED**

The Kansas Jayhawks will be dealt with Texas Southern or Texas A&M Corpus Christi in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. No matter who Kansas plays, the Jayhawks will be fine. Kansas is an elite offense with a defense to back it all up. Kansas dominates inside, shooting 54.5% and the Jayhawks hold teams to a 46.9% effective field goal percentage on the defensive end. Kansas will win this game. But the real question is how many games can Kansas win straight in the Midwest?

Final Four

Kansas +210 (Bet $100 to Win $210)

The Kansas Jayhawks were put in a region with so many question-mark teams. In the region, Auburn is a two-seed and the Tigers have struggled on the road. Then there's Wisconsin and Providence in the three and four spots. Both of those teams have closed out tight games religiously this season but luck could run out. After those two, there's Iowa in the five spot and Iowa has struggled defensively this season. Meanwhile, LSU is a six-seed and the Tigers just fired head coach Will Wade. So honestly, Kansas looks like they could be playing USC in the Elite Eight. I like Kansas' chances in that one.

National Championship

Kansas +1000 (Bet $100 to Win $1000)

Again, I like Kansas to make the Final Four. So there's clearly value, from my perspective. You won't be seeing Kansas at +1000 to win the National Championship with only four teams left. Kansas is an elite offense and has put together a dominant defense that is really good at defending the three. Defensive rebounding will have to improve but all in all, Kansas is absolutely a threat to win it all this year.
