2022 March Madness Odds: 3 Sleeper Teams That Can Win the NCAA Tournament

If you're in a smaller pool, picking a sleeper to win the NCAA Tournament probably isn't the smartest. However, in a larger pool where you need to stand out and beat 100 or more different brackets, selecting a sleeper to go far in the tournament and potentially win it all is pretty much necessary.

1. UCLA Bruins +1800 (Bet $100 to win $1800)

The UCLA Bruins are a four-seed in the NCAA Tournament this season. No route is easy in the NCAA Tournament, but UCLA would first have to defeat Akron and then likely take on St. Mary's and then Baylor to reach the Elite Eight.

If UCLA was able to get by, UCLA would likely have to face Kentucky and then beat the Wildcats to earn a Final Four spot.

After last year's success, UCLA has a lot of eyes on them. The Pac-12 proved that it was a much better conference last season with multiple teams making a run at the Finals, including UCLA, who made it to the Final Four.

The Bruins are limiting turnovers to 13.4% and have been above-average in almost every defensive category, including turnover percentage, rebounding percentage, and effective field goal percentage.

2. Houston Cougars +2800 (Bet $100 to win $2800)

Houston is a five-seed without Tramon Mark and Marcus Sasser. What the Cougars have done is pretty astounding. The offense is dominating the glass, earning 37.8% of offensive rebounds and the defense is holding teams to a 43.5% effective field goal percentage.

Opponents are literally shooting 29% from deep and 43.5% from inside the arc against Houston this season. If the defense can keep up that level of play, the Cougars are going to be a real threat this season.
