Gonzaga vs. Memphis Round of 32 Odds and Prediction
The Memphis Tigers are young and dumb. I mean this in the best possible way. The Tigers have a ton of extremely talented young players who make really nice plays and then some really bone-headed plays.
The Tigers are turning the ball over 22.9% of the time this season, which is one of the worst rates in college basketball. However, Memphis also shoots 36% from deep and 51.9% from inside while earning 37.5% offensive rebounds and are also getting to the line at a very high rate.
Memphis has the pieces to pull off an upset, but the turnovers will have to come down if Memphis wants to make noise.
Gonzaga is only forcing 16.7% turnovers and isn't much of a threat when it comes to turnovers. However, Gonzaga is a threat everywhere else, allowing teams to shoot just 30.9% from deep and 41.2% from inside the arc. The Bulldogs are also keeping teams to 23.1% offensive rebounds and do a solid job limiting fouls.

On the offensive end, Gonzaga is the best team in the nation. The Bulldogs are shooting 37.6% from deep and 60.8% from inside the arc on the year. Gonzaga also limits turnovers to 15.7% and should have success on the offensive glass, as Gonzaga earns 29.3% offensive rebounds.
On the defensive end, Memphis is allowing teams to earn 31% offensive rebounds and continues to foul at an above-average rate. Other than that though, Memphis has done well, holding teams to 32% from deep and 44.9% from inside the arc.

All in all, Gonzaga should be fine offensively against Memphis. The Bulldogs will have success on the offensive glass and should be able to limit turnovers against a Memphis team that loves to create chaos and earn turnovers.
On the other hand, while Memphis won't turn the ball over as much, the Tigers will have a harder time scoring at an efficient rate. Therefore, I'll take Gonzaga in this one against the spread.
