UCLA fell short in the Pac-12 title game and, as a result, is stuck with a 2-seed. However, that means nothing to the books though. The Bruins are the favorites to win the West and reach the Final Four for a second time in three seasons.

NCAA Tournament West Region Odds
UCLA is given +275 odds, or an implied 26.7% chance to win the West. Their biggest competition is 1-seed Kansas, who’s given +350 odds, or an implied 22.2% chance. 4-seed UConn isn’t far behind, either at +400 or an implied 20% chance. 3-seed Gonzaga is also a threat at +425, or an implied 19% chance to reach the Final Four.
No other team is given even a 10% chance to win. However, there are a few intriguing longshots that the books like. 8-seed Arkansas is given +1400 odds, or an implied 6.7% chance to win the region. There are some top seeds that the books don’t like as well. For example, 7-seed Northwestern is given +3500 odds, or an implied 2.8% chance to win the region.
A 2-seed has reached the Final Four in four of the last six NCAA Tournaments. That includes Duke winning the West just last year. To find a 2-seed that won, though, you have to go back to 2016 when Villanova went the distance. Right now, the books aren’t willing to go that far for UCLA, who’s given the fifth-best odds to win the tournament at +1400. In fact, Kansas has better odds of winning the tournament at +1200 despite having worse odds of winning the region.
