This Saturday we see a World Super Feather Title fight taking place at the MGM Grand between Miguel Berchelt and Oscar Valdez.
This looks like a huge clash between two Mexican fighters. Miguel Berchelt enters the fight as the bigger name, having won the WBC belt in a knockout victory over Francisco Vargas at the start of 2017. Now over 4 years later he's making his seventh defense of the belt. Berchelt hasn't lost since 2014 and has an impressive 37-1 record and is a -340 favorite.
Saturday's opponent Oscar Valdez is a year older but has had less fights, with an unbeaten 28-0 record. He also has 22 knockouts compared to Berchelt's 33. Valdez himself is aformer world champion, having previously held the WBO Featherweight title.
Miguel Berchelt vs. Oscar Valdez Betting Breakdown
Bettors are struggling to split the two stars, with Berchelt marginally taking a lower share of the bets, despite coming in to the right as the betting favorite and the current champion. He accounts for 44.87% of all bets, compared to Valdez who makes up 50% of bets. At +275 it's easy to see why bettors are tempted to take the underdog, who offers a nice price for a former world champ, even if it was at a different weight.
The remaining bets have been placed on the unlikely result of a draw, something you can wager at +2000.
