Tyson Fury Claims Wilder vs. Fury 2 Is Set For February
Tyson Fury announced yesterday that a rematch between himself and Wilder has been confirmed and signed for February 22nd 2020. It’s a fight that many of us have been waiting for, but it’s also one that many of us weren’t expecting just yet.
With Fury scheduled for a bout at MSG against an unnamed opponent on October 5th, and Wilder set for his rematch against Luis Ortiz on September 28th, it’s certainly a bit surprising given that they’ll both need to see off their next opponents unscathed before they meet again in early next year.
Fury added to the announcement with the claim that he’s going to knockout the WBC heavyweight champ this time round as he’s in much better shape than their first encounter.
Early odds have Fury pegged as the -150 favorite, with Wilder as the +125 underdog, and the unlikely reoccurrence of a draw sits as high as +2200.
We can expect movement with these odds considering the length of time between now and February, as well as some drastic slides should either lose in their up-coming fights in fall of this year.
