Rob Font (19-5-0)

Joining the UFC in 2014 following winning the CES featherweight belt, Font has earned three Fight Night bonuses while fighting some of the best the bantamweight division has to offer. The last time we saw him in the octagon was his second straight fight night main event, losing to Jose Aldo by decision in December. It’s also worth noting that Font enters this fight as the #5 contender in the division.

While his best days are almost certainly behind him at 34 years old, Font, who is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jutsu, can grapple with the best of them. Coming into this fight, Font has the advantage in takedowns per 15 minutes at 1.1 (vs. .82). He also holds a slight edge in significant strikes landed per minute at 5.64 (vs. 4.08).

Marlon Vera (18-7-1)

A black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Vera joined the UFC in November 2014, taking the featherweight division by storm before suffering back-to-back losses to Douglas Silva de Andrade and John Lineker in 2017/2018. Since then, Vera has won eight of his past nine, including winning fight-night bonuses in four of his past six fights (two straight).

Coming into this fight, the 8th ranked contender holds edges in significant striking accuracy (55.04% vs. 47%) and submission average (1.27 vs. .5), despite being the slight underdog. In a division known for fights going the distance, it’s also worth noting that 15 of Vera’s 18 professional wins have come inside the distance.

Rob Font vs Marlon Vera Odds
