Donald Cerrone vs. Joe Lauzon Odds: Betting Data, Odds, and Preview for UFC Austin
When: June 18, 7:00 PM EDT
Where: Moody Center, Austin, TX
The UFC returns to Austin this weekend for a great evening of fights at the Moody Center, as the promotion will look to follow up on an amazing night of fights last weekend in Singapore. Headlining this event is a pair of featherweight killers in Calvin Kattar and Josh Emmett, but that doesn't mean the rest of the card doesn’t offer a ton of great fights.
Let’s take a closer look at the co-main event featuring a pair of veteran lightweights Donald Cerrone and Joe Lauzon.

Donald Cerrone (36-16-0)
Turning 40 years old next year, “Cowboy” Cerrone’s best years are certainly behind him but that doesn’t mean we can’t be in for a great performance anytime he steps into the octagon. Admittedly, however, it has been a while. Having lost five of his past six fights with the 6th being a majority draw (later no contest), Cerrone hasn’t won since May 2019; a decision win vs. Al Laquinta.
Coming into this fight, Cerrone is on par with Lauzon in striking accuracy, and has an edge in volume landing 4.43 (vs. 2.84) significant strikes per minute. Grappling, however, is an area of concern for Cowboy, especially in this fight.
Joe Lauzon (28-16-0)
A black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Lauzon’s best years is also behind him at 38 years of age, as he’s struggled to pick up wins over the past few years having lost three of his past four. He does, however, come into this fight with some momentum picking up a TKO win over Jonathan Pearce in the first round.
While Lauzon does hold significant edges on the ground, the primary cause for concern might be ring rust as he hasn’t fought since October 2019. Going back to 2018, in fact, Lauzon has fought just twice as he’s battled injury and personal reasons in the time since with limited training prior to this camp.
