Following back-to-back weeks on the road, the UFC returns to their Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada for tonight's card, headlined by a pair of lightweight contenders in the form of Arman Tsarukyan and Mateusz Gamrot.

In the words of the great Jon Anik, let's take a closer look at the two men involved in tonight's main event of the evening.

Arman Tsarukyan vs. Matuesz Gamrot

Arman Tsarukyan (18-2)

The Georgian lightweight contender made his UFC debut in 2019, where he was on the wrong side of a unanimous decision against top contender Islam Makhachev. Since the loss, Tsarukyan has rattled off 5 straight victories over the likes of Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Davi Ramos, Matt Frevola, Christos Giagos, and most recently, Joel Alvarez, this past February.

Where Tsarukyan holds a massive advantage over Gamrot is in the striking department where he boasts an impressive 61.57% significant strike accuracy compared to Gamrot's 50.0%. Despite being 3 inches shorter than Gamrot, Tsarukyan holds a reach of 72.5 inches compared to Gamrot's 70.0-inch reach.

Mateusz Gamrot (20-1, 1 NC)

The Polish-born Gamrot's a relative newcomer to the UFC. Making his promotional debut in 2010, Gamrot dropped his first fight in the promotion via split-decision against Guram Kutatledze. Since the loss, Gamrot heads into tonight riding a 3-fight win streak after defeating the likes of Scott Holtzman, Jeremy Stephens, and most recently, Cezar Ferreira in December 2021.

Gamrot's key to victory tonight maybe with the ground game. Gamrot boasts a 5.83 takedown per bout average, compared to Tsarukyan's 3.47 average. Gamrot has never been taken down in his over 20-minutes in the UFC octagon.
