A pair of belts are on the line Saturday night when the UFC hits the road and heads to Dallas, Texas. First, in the co-main event, Brandon Moreno takes on Kai Kara-France for the Interim Flyweight Championship. That’s followed by a rematch in the Women’s Bantamweight Division, where Julianna Pena looks to shock the world again as she goes toe-to-toe with the great Amanda Nunes.

Just prior to the co-main event, we have a banger of a heavyweight bout. The UFC’s knockout leader, Derrick Lewis, returns to the octagon to take on surging Sergei Pavlovich. Here are the stats and trends you need to know, the public betting data, and the best odds for each man to raise his hand on Saturday night.

Derrick Lewis vs. Sergei Pavlovich Prediction

DERRICK LEWIS (26-9-0, 1 NC)

The Black Beast has alternated losses and wins over his last four fights in the UFC octagon. Most recently, he was on the wrong end of a knockout from Tai Tuivasa in the second round back in February. It was a back-and-forth fight for six-plus minutes, but Tuivasa got the best of Lewis and put him to sleep. Lewis recorded a pair of takedowns and outstruck Tuivasa 27-24 in the bout; however, Tuivasa proved to have the better chin that night.

Lewis is the knockout king in the UFC, leading all fighters with 13 career KOs. He’s landing 2.56 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 2.51 strikes per minute. He’s not super active when it comes to takedowns, averaging just 0.60 takedowns per 15 minutes. The 37-year-old is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and it’s worth noting he has a takedown defense rate of 55%.

SERGEI PAVLOVICH (15-1-0)

The Russian-born Pavlovich has been impressive over four fights in the UFC and looks to make a big jump in the rankings on Saturday night. He’s currently ranked 11th in the division and riding a three-fight win streak. All four of his fights in the octagon have ended in first-round knockouts, with the latest three wins coming over Marcelo Golm, Maurice Greene, and Shamil Abdurakhimov most recently.

Pavlovich’s intentions are clear when he steps into the cage – he wants to knock you out. The 30-year-old brawler is averaging 6.08 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 4.45 strikes per minute. He hasn’t landed nor attempted a takedown in the UFC octagon yet, and he’s defending 66% of opposing attempts.
