Ian Garry vs. Kenan Song Breakdown

Ian Garry (10-0-0)

In another PPV card appearance, Ian Garry (10-0) keeps pursuing his dream of becoming a household name. He will be making his fourth UFC appearance, all of which have been in front of the brightest cameras. His first came against Jordan Williams in a competitive matchup at UFC 268 (2021). He defeated him easily in the opening round to record his fifth knockout. He followed it up with a unanimous decision against Gabriel Green and Darian Weeks last year.

Coming into this one, Garry will possess a three-inch height and reach advantage, which he will attempt to fully use in snipping Song's chin from range. He'll make threats with hard kicks and counters, but he'll need to have worked on his defense if he wants to ensure an early finish here.

Kenan Song (16-6-0)

Garry has Kenan Song as his upcoming task (18-6), and he's getting an experienced fighter here, if nothing else. He has competed for the UFC six times, but this will be his first pay-per-view appearance. After a memorable start to his UFC career with two knockouts, he was defeated by Alex Morono by unanimous decision (2018). He rebounded with two more knockouts, the last of which was against Callan Potter (2020), though he does come in off of a knockout loss of his own from Max Griffin in 2021.
