UFC Fight Night Odds: Bettors Split on Munhoz vs. Edgar

After last week’s showing at UFC 252, there is plenty of buzz surrounding the company and their upcoming bouts.
This week, UFC Fight Night takes over UFC APEX in Las Vegas, and Saturday’s main event between Frankie Edgar and Pedro Munhoz is expected to be a back-and-forth bout. So much so that bettors are having a tough time choosing who to bet.
According to DraftKings, 43% of bets are backing Edgar to beat Munhoz on Saturday, but he’s backed by the majority of the money, with 53% of the handle on him.
With the majority of the bets on Munhoz but most of the money following Edgar, it could imply that sharp bettors are expecting a major upset by the UFC veteran.

Oddsmakers aren’t predicting the bout to be that close. Edgar’s +229 odds imply just a 30.4% chance he comes out on top. Meanwhile, Munhoz’s -260 odds give him a 72.2% shot at victory.
Edgar is one of the UFC’s most established veterans. He’s been fighting with the company since 2007. He comes into Saturday looking to end a two-fight losing skid.
Munhoz has been a UFC fighter since 2014. He’s 18-4 overall and coming off a loss via decision to Aljamain Sterling at UFC 238.
