We’ve been reporting on the betting and odds movement for the UFC 259 fights all week long and one constant throughout is the weight of support for the underdog Jan Blachowicz in his main event clash with Israel Adesanya.

That weight of money hasn’t stopped as we’ve got closer to the fight. In the past 24 hours, 60% of wagers on the main event have been on Blachowicz, with just 40% on the betting favorite Israel Adesanya.

Blachowicz has a history of defying the odds and it seems that bettors are anticipating the same to happen tonight. In his last fight against Dominic Reyes, the Austrian was the big underdog, but captured the vacant light heavyweight title with a huge win at UFC 253. As he’s done throughout his career, he played the spoiler, out-striking Reyes for a famous success against the odds and making it four straight wins in the UFC.

So, we keep talking about the money coming for Blachowicz, so surely that means his odds have shortened? That’s right, they’ve dropped all week long.

How Have The Odds Moved In Blachowicz vs. Adesanya?

As mentioned, the weight of support for Jan Blachowicz has seen his odds shorten in the past week. Last Sunday, the best odds available were +225, but now the very best on offer are just +195.

On the other hand, Israel Adesanya’s have inevitably gone the other way. You can now back Adesanya at -220, but was as low as -250 on Sunday.
