UFC Fight Night Edwards vs. Muhammad: Majority of Bettors Picking Edwards to Win
Last weekend, the UFC rolled out its best card of 2021 with UFC 259 featuring three title fights at the top. Now, just a week later, the card for UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Muhammad doesn’t have quite the same star power, but there is still good value to take advantage of.
More specifically, bettors have their eyes on the main event as Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad go head-to-head. Both come in with 18-3 career professional MMA records but there is a clear betting favorite in the eyes of oddsmakers.
Despite the similar record, Leon Edwards is the much more promising fighter. Edwards is the No. 3 contender in the welterweight division, trailing just Colby Covington and Gilbert Burns for a title shot. Edwards hasn’t lost a fight since 2015, when he fell by decision to current champion Kamaru Usman.
As for Muhammad, he’s the No. 13 contender in the division. He’s coming in riding a four-fight win streak but oddsmakers are expecting Edwards to handle him, according to the way they priced up the fight.
