Today we saw the UFC officially announce Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor, with the third fight taking place on July 10.
The two UFC stars have been exchanging insults on social media, with tension developing between the two lightweights after Conor McGregor backtracking on a $500,000 donation to Poirier's charity, which upset the Louisiana born fighter.
Only yesterday McGregor tweeting that the fight was off but today it was confirmed by Dana White and the UFC. It's set to be the most anticipated fight of the year. Conor McGregor comes into the game as a -110 favorite, marginally ahead of Poirier who is +100. It's very much a pick'em with the sportsbooks unsure on who'll be winning.
Dustin Poirier won their last fight, which took place in January in the Middle East. He won comfortably with a second round victory. McGregor was surprisingly humble before and after the fight, with many asking if this was a new Conor.
