Michigan vs. Washington Preview

Michigan is coming into this game 1-0 and hopes to have success this season after a few disappointing seasons being led by Harbaugh. After a dominant win last weekend over Western Michigan, Michigan is firing on all cylinders heading into the Saturday night matchup.

Michigan’s starting QB, Cade McNamara, had a great start to his season. He finished with 136 yards and 2 TDs and took great care of the football. The Michigan offense leaned heavily on the run game as well and averaged 7.8 yards per carry last weekend.

The story is quite the opposite for the Washington Huskies. Washington fell to Montana last weekend and were held scoreless for the final 50 minutes of the game. Nothing went right for the Huskies last weekend and coming into the Big House for a Saturday night under the lights game is not exactly the best bounce-back game for them.

Washington’s QB, Dylan Morris, had not the start he was picturing last weekend. He was lacking several of his starting receivers and finished with 0 TD’s and 3 INT’s. The Huskies finished with less than 291 total yards and only 4.9 yards per attempt against Montana.

Detroit Lions vs. San Francisco 49ers Preview

The Quarterbacks have all the spotlight coming into the Lions vs. 49ers game this Sunday afternoon. Jared Goff came to the Lions after the biggest trade this offseason, as the Rams and the Lions switched QB’s hoping to give both Goff and Stafford a fresh start. The Lions will look to show off their new 2021 offense which features a new head coach, offensive coordinator, QB’s coach, and QB. The Lions did not return any key receivers except for T.J. Hockenson, who has developed chemistry with Goff early this preseason.

The 49ers continued their media dramatics after drafting rookie WB Trey Lance and putting Jimmy Garoppolo’s starting job in jeopardy. Despite this, Joey Bosa and his defensive unit are what will propel this 49ers team and are the reason for their past success.
