Georgia New Favorite to Win National Title: Bulldogs Given 41.7% Chance to Win CFB Championship
Georgia surpasses Alabama to become National Title favorites this week. After Alabama was defeated by Texas A&M on the road and the Georgia Bulldogs continue to impress they have become the new favorites to win the college football championship in 2021.
The Georgia Bulldogs are College Football’s premier team in 2021. At least, that’s what the AP Poll, oddsmakers, and bettors have all agreed to.
The new #1 in college football now stands atop the National Championship odds market. The Bulldogs are given +140 odds, or an implied 41.7% chance to win a national title. Alabama has slid to second with +250 odds, or an implied 28.6% chance. #4 in the country, Oklahoma, is given +1500 odds, 4th best on the market. #3 Cincinnati is given +3000 odds, 5th best on the market. Finally, #2 Iowa is given +10000 odds, 7th best on the market.
It doesn’t stop there, though. Georgia is the apple of the bettors’ eyes. Since Saturday, 47.8% of bets have been placed on Georgia to win the National Title. Alabama remains a firm favorite as well. They’ve seen 39.1% of bets. Iowa is third, and Cincinnati is 4th on the betting market.
Georgia has an elite defense and a strong running game. Built old school, like the 1985 Bears or the 2010 Jets. Georgia has a proven winning formula, even if it’s not one from the modern era of football. It’s resonating with pretty much everyone. Of course, It takes just one slip up for everything to come crumbling down.
