Titans @ Jaguars (+1.5), 8:20 PM ET:
Both the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off brutal losses in their division.
For the Titans, they faced a new quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, but the results were the same.
Titans running back Derrick Henry piled up 81 rushing yards and one touchdown and quarterback Marcus Mariota had 154 passing yards and one touchdown in a 19-17 home loss to the Colts on Sunday afternoon.
Andrew Luck retired with a perfect 11-0 record against the Titans, but Jacoby Brissett kept the winning streak against the Titans alive as he passed for 146 yards and three touchdowns.
The Jaguars suffered a tough defeat as well.
Houston Texans safety Justin Reid held Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette out of the end zone on a two-point conversion attempt with seconds left and it allowed the Texans to walk away with a 13-12 win.
Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew threw for 213 yards and one touchdown, which came in the fourth quarter on a 4-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver DJ Chark.
Fournette finished with 47 yards on 15 carries in the loss.
Titans Fantasy Star
A.J. Brown, WR
There aren’t many under-the-radar fantasy options from either team in this football game, but the one player I really like from the Titans is rookie wide receiver A.J. Brown.
Brown, an Ole Miss product, only had three receptions for 25 yards in the loss to the Colts, but in the season-opener against the Cleveland Browns, Brown showed signs that he may be Marcus Mariota’s top receiving option moving forward.
Brown had three catches for 100 yards in that game, which included an impressive 51-yard catch. Look for Mariota to connect with Brown in this matchup early and often.
Jaguars Fantasy Star
DJ Chark, WR
I believe Jaguars wide out DJ Chark has emerged as the No. 1 receiving option in the offense.
As I said above, there aren’t many fantasy options in this football game because both offenses are among the worst in all of football, but Chark has performed through two games this season.
Against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1, Chark had four catches on four targets for 146 yards and one touchdown which went for 69 yards. And in Week 2 against the Texans, he came away with seven receptions on nine targets for 55 yards and that fourth-quarter touchdown in the heartbreaking last-minute loss to Houston.
The obvious choices as fantasy options for the Titans and Jaguars are running backs Derrick Henry and Leonard Fournette since both teams are run-oriented. But, since they are the clear-cut choices, I’m going to take a leap of faith with my picks in A.J. Brown and DJ Chark.
