Russell Wilson's Next Team: Jets, Dolphins Odds Slashed
It’s almost impossible to picture Russell Wilson is any jersey besides that of the Seattle Seahawks. Wilson was drafted by the team in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft and has been the starting QB ever since. He’s led the team to two Super Bowl appearances, one title and has made the Pro Bowl eight times.
That’s why, when rumors surfaced of his unhappiness in Seattle’s, most were shocked to hear of his displeasure. Wilson still has not formally requested a trade, according to reports, but there have been rumblings that he would like to play for either the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Las Vegas Raiders or New Orleans Saints.
On Monday, that list got shorter as the Cowboys signed QB Dak Prescott to an extension. And, as a result, the betting market has reacted, with the odds he’d land with one of the three remaining teams on his list, or a wild card team, drastically shortening.
Russell Wilson’s Next Team Betting
The Seattle Seahawks are still the odds-on favorite to be the team for which Wilson starts next season. The odds that he remains a Seahawks currently sit at -500, implying an 83.3% chance.
Still, there has been some significant movement in the market.

As of Tuesday, the team with the best odds to acquire Wilson, outside of Seattle, is the Chicago Bears, whose +300 odds imply a 25% chance. After that, it’s a team not on his list that oddsmakers like. The New York Jets were as long as +5000 just two days ago, but have since shortened all the way to +700, third shortest on the board.
The Jets are followed by the Raiders (+1000) and the Saints (+1200) but the next shortest odds belong to the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins were also +5000 two days ago, but now sit at +1600 to land Wilson.
