Panthers Bench Cam Newton in Favor of PJ Walker

Cam Newton is no longer back. In just his second start since returning to the Carolina Panthers, signing as a free agent after the Sam Darnold injury, Cam Newton was pulled by Head Coach, Matt Rhule in their blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins.

It was a brutal start for Cam who was just five of 20 for 92 yards, two interceptions, and a 6.7 passer rating. Unfortunately, things didn't get much better as PJ Walker upon entering immediately threw a pick. It was a fun story for a couple of weeks but unfortunately, the Cam Newton era in the NFL appears to be over. We'll always have 2015, but after some injuries, a 32-year-old Cam is no longer a viable starting option in the NFL.

After starting the season 3-0, the Panthers will now fall to 5-7 on the season. Matt Rhule desperately needs to figure out this quarterback as we've learned that Sam Darnold, Cam Newton, and PJ Walker are not real answers at the QB position.
