The Dallas Cowboys are coming off an overtime loss on Thanksgiving which dropped them to 7-4 on the season. Now, they have a stretch of three straight road games with the first tonight, on the road in New Orleans against the Saints who have struggled immensely in recent weeks.

Not too long ago, the Saints were 5-2 to start their season. Well, four straight losses have dropped them to 5-6 and they’ve decided to make a switch at the quarterback position. Taysom Hill will now get the start, his first at the quarterback position this year.

If you’re looking to place some action on this one, here are the five most popular bets from the public on this week’s Thursday Night Football game.

Cowboys -5.5

Cowboys -5.577%75%

Dallas has been good to us against the spread all year. They’re 8-3, covering 72.7 percent of the time which is tied for second in the league with Arizona. New Orleans hasn’t had the same luck at just 5-6 ATS, with an ATS +/- of just 0.5. With the change at the quarterback position, will the Saints be able to keep up? The public doesn’t think so and neither do I.

Under 47.5

BetBets%Handle%
Under 47.557%58%

This one is interesting. Both Dallas and New Orleans are 6-5 at hitting the over but maybe it’s the uncertainty at the quarterback position for New Orleans that has people leaning towards the under? In four starts last year at QB for Taysom Hill, the Saints combined for a score under 47.5 points every single time.

Ezekiel Elliott first touchdown (+600)

Zeke is probably the safest bet of any player to get into the endzone in this game. So far this year he’s gotten into the endzone nine times in 11 games with three touchdowns in the last three games. He was on a little bit of a scoring drought from Week 6 through Week 9 but he and the Dallas offense is back on track it seems. His value as the first touchdown scorer is significantly better than the anytime touchdown as well.

CeeDee Lamb anytime TD scorer (+160)

CeeDee Lamb didn’t get into the endzone the last time he played against K.C. but had two scores the previous week. Lamb has been hot and cold usually with some gaps in between his scoring streaks. With two straight games out of the endzone, the public is anticipating him making his return to the endzone as he makes his return to the field as well in New Orleans.

Taysom Hill anytime TD scorer (+200)

Taysom Hill hasn’t gotten into the endzone since Week 4. To say that he’s due would likely be the understatement of the century. The logic behind this play is his reps will go up significantly as he’s expected to get the start tonight for New Orleans. In the four games he started for the Saints at quarterback last year he had four rushing scores to go along with it.
