Oddsmakers believe there will be under 6.5 receivers going in round one. Comparatively to the last two drafts, there aren't as many big-name receivers as none of those drafts saw seven receivers go in round one but the case could be made that there is more of a need than ever for receivers this year.
Number of Wide Receivers taken in Round 1
I'd be downright stunned if seven receivers go in round one. In no particular order, Garrett Wilson, Drake London, Treylon Burks, Chris Olave, and Jameson Williams are all expected to go in the first round. Beyond that, maybe you could sell me on Christian Watson or Jahan Dotson coming off the board as wide receiver six but both of them or someone else?
Don't overthink this one. If the talent isn't there the talent isn't there. I think we see the Falcons, Jets, Eagles, Saints, Packers, and Chiefs go wide receiver which brings us to six and a fairly easy cash on this one.
On the other hand, The 33rd Team's Mike Tannenbaum is on the other side of the equation here. Mike has said that he sees seven wide receivers coming off the board on Thursday as the class is loaded with top-line talent throughout.
