The NFL Draft is just three days away. San Francisco 49ers -300 (Bet $300 to win $100)
Obviously, San Francisco is a massive favorite to keep Deebo Samuel. They have Deebo under contract, technically, and they could even franchise tag him for his fifth year if they so please. They don't have to do anything if they don't want to and their asking price can be as absurd as they'd like to make it.
The only issue here is if the player doesn't want to be there. Supposedly, he wasn't a fan of the usage with him having so many carries and worries about his career longevity in that role going forward.
I mean does this look like a guy who wants to stay with the 49ers...
New York Jets +500 (Bet $100 to win $500)
If anybody is going to trade for Deebo, it feels like the Jets make too much sense. First, they already attempted to trade for Tyreek Hill a couple of months ago, in fact, there was a deal in place but Hill elected to go to Miami instead. Second, there is already a great relationship with the Jets and the 49ers.
Head Coach Robert Saleh and Offensive Coordinator Mike LaFleur just so happened to come over from San Francisco last year. The connection is there, the offensive styles are very similar, and the Jets have four draft picks in the top 40 and the cap space to not only acquire but extend Deebo. It's a match made in heaven.
