2021 BMW Champions Odds & Betting

The FedExCup Playoffs continue this week in Maryland following a long overdue win for Tony Finau yesterday at The Northern Trust.

Tony Finau saw off challenges from both Jon Rahm and Cameron Smith to record his first win since the Puerto Rico Open, which was 1,975 days ago.

Tony Finau, as always, will be prominent in the BMW Championship betting this week, however, this week's PGA Tour odds board is dominated by Jon Rahm once again.

The Spaniard is playing excellent golf at the moment, and is the +650 favorite in the BWM Championship odds market.

We have a much smaller field at this week's PGA Tour event, with the top-70 players in the FedExCup points standing advancing to play at the BMW Championship. Only the top 30 at the conclusion of this week's event will then progress to next week's TOUR Championship in Atlanta.

As you'd expect with the top-70 players heading to Maryland, the BMW Championship odds market is packed with the world's best players. Behind Jon Rahm, there's a whole heap of players around the similar odds range, these include Xander Schauffele, Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Cameron Smith, Patrick Cantlay, Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Tony Finau and Rory McIlroy.

2021 BMW Championship Course Breakdown

  • Course: Caves Valley Golf Club
  • Location: Owings Mills, MD
  • Date: Aug. 26-29, 2021
  • Par: 72 / Yardage 7,542
  • Greens: Bentgrass
  • TV: Golf Channel and NBC (Sat-Sun)
  • Live Streaming: NBCSports.com/live, NBC Sports App and PGA Tour Live

It's the first time the PGA Tour has used the Caves Valley Golf Club, therefore there's a lack of any statistical data. We do have some early reports on how the course will play, and we are sure there will be plenty more feedback later in the week when players start their practice rounds.

The course will apparently benefit the accurate hitters off the tee, with the rough area being really punishing. There are six par 4's which play over 460 yards, but also three which play under 370 yards.

Therefore, it looks a simple equation of accurate hitters, however length of the tee will be beneficial for some of the gettable holes, ball striking will be key, and some imagination around the greens.
