UK Bookmakers Give Charlie Woods a 9.1% Chance of Winning A Major Before 30
Yup, you read that right.
The golf world is buzzing with yesterday's news that Tiger Woods is returning to competitive golf next weekend. No, it's not a major or even a four-day tournament. Instead, Woods is making his return, after more than 290 days away from the sport, at the PNC Championship.
The PNC Championship is a two-day event that usually pairs father-son duos against one another. So, naturally, Tiger Woods is teaming up with his son, Charlie Woods, as he did last year.
Last week, while Tiger was on a media tour, he said that his chances of competing at the highest levels of golf are slim-to-none due to his age and recent injuries from his single-car crash.
As a result, bookmakers in the UK have shifted their focus from the potential of Tiger winning another major and instead began to focus on Charlie Woods, at just 12 years of age.

Charlie Woods' Odds to Win a Major
We saw Charlie Woods on the golf course last year and he looked like the son of the GOAT. He is an excellent golfer for his age and kept up with his dad on the course all afternoon.
But, the UK sportsbooks have taken it even further with their latest odds on the Woods family. Right now, UK oddsmakers have give Charlie Woods +1000 odds to win a major before his 30th birthday.
For a point of reference, Tiger had won his first major by age 21 and had won 10 majors by the age of 30.
Now, just because his dad will go down as the greatest golfer ever, it doesn't mean that Charlie will follow in his footsteps. How many NBA titles have Michael Jordan's sons won? What about Wayne Gretzky's children? How many scoring titles have they amassed?
It's a little much to be putting this kind of pressure on a kid at 12 years old, but that hasn't stopped UK sportsbooks from implying a 9.1% chance Charlie Woods wins a major in the next 18 years.
