Masters Top American Odds and Predictions: Brooks Koepka Is a Lock To Make the Cut
Most of the low-key golf tournaments offer odds markets like golfers to finish in the top 10 or top 20 and first-round leader and head-to-head or three-ball matchups. However, Masters betting is like golf betting on steroids, with all those markets and much more.

One of the most enticing options is betting on who will finish as the top American. In the last 11 Masters, an American has won the tournament six times, so one does not always need to identify the tournament's winner to cash this bet. However, with so many outstanding American golfers on tour, one will likely need to identify a golfer that finishes in the top three, if not the winner, to cash the top American prop bet.
Here are our three best bets to take home the title of top American golfer at the 2022 Masters.

Brooks Koepka (+1000) (Bet $100 to Win $1000)
Brooks Koepka has worse odds than Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, and Dustin Johnson, but we are enticed by his +1000 odds, considering he has just as good a chance as the other three to don the green jacket. Koepka is absolutely dominant in majors, with 12 top-five finishes and seven combined wins or second-place finishes in 30 events. His missed cut at Augusta last year was likely tied to a procedure on his knee he underwent a month before the tournament. But the previous two times we saw him completely healthy at the Masters, he finished in the top seven. He is a virtual lock to make the cut and has slowly become a guy who is almost always assured of being in contention on Sunday at every major.
Will Zalatoris (+1600) (Bet $100 to Win $1600)
No debutant has won the Masters since Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979, but Will Zalatoris came awfully close to ending that drought as he finished second last year. The closest Zalatoris has ever come to a PGA Tour victory outside of that brilliant Masters finish was when he lost in a playoff at Torrey Pines. However, only Jon Rahm has more strokes gained ball-striking in 2022, and Zalatoris is out to prove you do not need to be a grizzled veteran at Augusta to fare well there.

Tony Finau (+3500) (Bet $100 to Win $3500)
It seems only fitting that we have to chance one "outsider" to be the top American, and there are not many more enticing golfers to back at these odds than Tony Finau. Finau has three top tens in four trips to Augusta, including a top-five finish when he played in the final group with Tiger Woods in 2019. Admittedly, Finau's odds are low, considering he has not finished in the top ten in any of the 11 events he has played in this season, but he has shown that Augusta suits his game, and this is a good place for him if he were to turn it on this week.
