The Match Odds: Tom Brady/Aaron Rodgers vs. Patrick Mahomes/Josh Allen Betting Preview

When: June 1, 2022, 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT

Where: The Wynn Golf Course, Las Vegas, NV

For the first time in its six editions, The Match will not feature a professional golfer on either team, as the world’s best prepare for the US Open in a few short weeks. Instead, four of the best quarterbacks in the NFL will go head to head, as two legends will take on two potential future legends.

While the trash-talking has been largely one-sided as Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers have dominated Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, will things on the course be different? Let's take a closer look at both teams and see where the odds are headed ahead of the first tee.

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers (-190) (Bet $190 to win $100)

In addition to the experience edge on the field, Brady and Rodgers both hold a significant one in these tournaments. For Brady, he made his debut in Match II, pairing up with Phil Mickelson to take on Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning; a loss despite a late comeback attempt. He has paired up with Mickelson again for The Match IV, another loss this time to Rodgers and professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau.

Making his debut in The Match series last summer, Rodgers played well and was most clutch on the greens, giving his team the edge as Brady faltered. With both of these guys having experience here, Allen and Mahomes are rightfully underdogs.

Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes (+160) (Bet $100 to win $160)

At the helm for one of the consistently most difficult teams to beat in the NFL, Mahomes will look to transfer those skills to the golf course in what should be a difficult challenge with limited to no amateur play experience. Allen, also a leader for one of the best teams in the NFL, will be looking to draw on experience gained from his appearance at the 2022 Pebble Beach AT&T Pro-Am.

While the crowds will be much smaller for this event featuring just four players, the pressure will be just as big if not bigger. Being the first edition of The Match to be broadcast internationally, bragging rights and charity allocations will be on the line as well for all four elite NFL quarterbacks involved.
