Tiger Woods Odds: Tiger Given HUGE Odds For British Open, Likely Next Start

Today, Tiger Woods announced some unfortunate yet not so surprising news. He will not be participating in the US Open this year, as his body needs more time in between playing in order to compete in Major Championship golf.

The positive spin though is in this same announcement Tiger Woods did say that his plan is to be ready for the JP McManus Pro-Am and The Open.

So when are we most likely to see Tiger Woods next? The British Open might be the most likely opportunity for us to see him on the course. Let's dive into the Tiger Woods odds for this event.

Tiger Woods British Open Odds

The Tiger Woods odds for the British Open aren't too promising. He's given just a 2.38% chance of winning the event by the oddsmakers. If Tiger Woods is able to compete at The Open next month, it would be his first time competing since 2019. He missed the cut that year but the year prior, he played some of the best golf that he's played in recent years finishing tied for sixth.

It's strange for people who have followed Tiger's entire career to see the Tiger Woods odds be so huge for this event. He's always performed well here winning it three times including back-to-back wins in 2005 and 2006.

Last year at the British Open, it was Collin Morikawa who came away victorious as he shot -15 in the tournament, narrowly holding off Jordan Spieth.

The JP McManus Pro-Am, which is another event Tiger is looking to participate in is scheduled for July 4 and July 5 at The Golf Course at Adare Manor.

It's been a tough go of it for Tiger Woods this year who has the Masters and PGA Championship under his belt as his only appearances so far. He withdrew at the PGA Championship and finished 47th at the Masters.

Will we see a rejuvenated Tiger Woods at these upcoming events? The Tiger Woods odds don't look too fondly on his chances of winning but everyone can agree that it's good for the sport when Tiger is out there playing.
