Tiger Woods Live Score: Updated Tiger Woods Score for the British Open
It's been a tough start to the 2022 British Open for Tiger Woods. Woods, who missed the US Open to try and get ready for this weekend at St. Andrews, is 6-over par on the first 16 holes to this point.
Not many knew what to expect from Tiger this week. He's made the cut in both The Masters and the PGA Championship, but he faded down the stretch in each. Tiger Woods fans had some high expectations for Woods this weekend, but it hasn't been the start that they had hoped for.

It's tough to be too critical of how Tiger finished this round, going in with Birdie-Par-Bogey-Par-Par on his final five holes. Unfortunately for him, his first 13 holes were an unmitigated disaster.
On 18, Tiger Actually got to the green with an Eagle putt. Then, left himself just six feet for a chance at birdie. Unfortunately, he missed right and ended up with par on the final hole at St. Andrews.

We're into the fescue off the tee but a truly great approach on Tiger's second shot left him with a green in regulation, which is not something to down play on the famed Road Hole.
With a long birdie putt ahead of him, Tiger knocked it close, within a few feet, and got off of 17 with a well-deserved par.

We're back in the fescue and we're back with another bogey.
Tiger's drive looked good but it just kept rolling into the long grass. Eventually, it stopped 170 yards from the pin.
His second shot sailed over the green and onto a fairway past the hole. He then played a bump and run that got him to within 10 feet for a chance to save par. Spoiler alert: He did not save par.

The bad news here is that he had a great look at birdie and missed it. But the good news (I guess) is he missed it right of the cup, so no more missing left.
He drove it beautifully and his approach left him just 20 feet for birdie. He missed, but he did tap in for par and went to the final three holes with some strong play.

Moving in the right direction again.
What if I told you Tiger drove the ball 412 yards on No. 14. Well he did. It got a healthy kick and rolled a mile, leaving him just 188 yards to the hole on his second shot.
Tiger's approach left a lot to be desired as he left it on the front end of the green and ad about 75 feet to go. Luckily for him, his eagle putt landed within three feet for a tap-in birdie on 14.

Blah.
His drive found the fescue and it was pretty much over from there. He hit his shot out of the tall grass on to the green, but it left him a putt over 100 feet for this third shot. His next shot got him to within 15-feet of the hole but, once again, he left his putt left and ended up with a bogey on No. 13.

Man, this was so close to being a good hole.
Tiger drove it into the fairway, despite flirting with the fescue, and left himself about 40 yards for his approach. He stuck the approach, hitting it to 6 feet for a look at birdie. Unfortunately his birdie putt stayed left of the hole and he was forced to settle for par.
If he's going to make any sort of move, he's going to have to take advantage of the easy shots. He didn't do that here.

Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Tiger hit a six iron to the middle of the green, about 30-feet from the hole, and looked destined to come away with a par at worse. However, he left himself about 10 feet for his par putt and proceeded to miss, tapping in for bogey.

Tiger's drive was pure but his approach was even better. After striping it off the tee, he put a short iron to within four feet for a great look at birdie. He nailed it, bringing him down to +4 on the day.

We did it! We finally went under par on a hole at the British Open. Not a bad way to finish the front nine on Thursday.
Tiger took driver on the driveable par four and hit a bomb. He ended up rolling it past the green and into a light rough where he had plenty of green to land on for his second shot. His next shot got to within 6 feet where he drained his first birdie putt of the British Open.

All things considered, a par here isn't bad from Tiger.
Tiger played a long iron off the tee and it ended up in some light rough. From there, Woods played a bump and run that got him to within three feet. He then tapped in for Par.

We're falling apart here. It looks as though it's going to be a short week for the GOAT.
Tiger found fairway off the tee here and found a bunker that the announcer described as "more in-play on the 12th than the 7th".
He was forced to lay up from there and found himself making a mess of the seventh. Eventually, he tapped in for a double bogey, his second of the day.

This hole was a lot of up and downs. His drive was good put his approach on the par-four sixth hole was brutal.
His second shot landed in a valley short of the green. Tiger elected to go with putter from there and ended up 10-feet short of the cup staring a bogey in the face.
But, Tiger deliverer a great putt and sank it from 10-feet out for par.

On the one hand, it's a par so we're not dropping strokes. on the other hand, it's a par five so we'd ideally like to be scoring on these.
Woods took driver on the reachable par 5 then, from 231 yards out, he took a fairway metal and the ball landed a few yards short of the green.
Tiger attempted a bump and run bur he gave it too much and sent it past the hole. His birdie putt stayed left of the hole the entire time and he ended up tapping in for par.

A drive that looked destined for the fescue actually bounced out and back into the short grass.
Woods found the putting surface with his approach but was left approximately 60 feet for birdie. Woods' birdie putt stopped a good 10 feet short of the hole. His par putt missed on the left side, and he dropped another shot to par with another bogey.

Just when we thought Tiger had gotten things together, another over-par hole came into play on the third.
Tiger drove it down the left side in the fairway, hitting another fairway in regulation.
His second shot caught a slope and rolled back into the fairway in front of the green. He was short-sided on his pitch shot which left a lengthy attempt at a par save.
Woods played his par putt with too much pace, and the ball rolled four feet past the hole. He finished with bogey.

It looked as though Tiger had gotten on the right track on No. 2 as he responded to his double bogey with a good-looking par.
Tiger drove it toward the left edge of the fairway to start. He pulled a mid-iron for his approach and landed on the back portion of the green, some 60 feet past the hole.
He gave us a beautiful lag putt that looked like it may drop but ended up producing a tap-in par.
