Projected Cut Line: E

As of now, the projected British Open cut line is Even par. There is a 87.1% chance the cut line falls at E.

As for other British Open cit lines, -1 as a 12.9% chance. That leaves guys like Justin Thomas, Phil Mickelson, Hideki Matsuyama and Max Homa fighting for their British Open lives today.

Unfortunately for Tiger Woods fans, he's nowhere near making the cut. As a matter of fact, there's a better chance he finishes in last place than plays a round of golf at St. Andrews on Saturday.

British Open Projected Cut Line - Top Golfer Probability

Tiger Woods - 0%

It was a bad day after an even worse showing yesterday for Tiger. He finishes +9. I'm not sure many actually expected Tiger to compete this weekend at St. Andrews.

Phil Mickelson - 0%

It looked for a while like Phil may be playing golf this weekend. But he finds himself too far back to make a play at coming back to St. Andrews on Saturday morning.

Shane Lowry - 88.2%

Lowry finds himself -1 for the tournament through eight holes on Friday. He has some wiggle room to work with and looks to be relatively clear when it comes to making the British Open cut.

Justin Thomas - 75.3%

JT's chances of making the cut are still very high, but he's not looked very strong on Thursday or Friday to this point. He's even through eight on Friday, staring the cut line in the face.

Collin Morikawa - 29.3%

Morikawa, last year's British Open champion, had a 71% chance to make the cut when he teed off today. Now, he finds himself at +2 for the tournament on on the outside looking in. It'll take a big bounce back to make the cut this week.

Hideki Matsuyama - 95.7%

At -3 under for the tournament, Matsuyama is in a weird territory where he's not in danger of missing the cut but he's also ten strokes off the lead. Still, he's done what it takes to make sure he's be playing golf this weekend.

John Daly - 17.2%

We got the complete John Daly experience today. At one point, Daly was -2 for the tournament and -3 on the day on Friday. He also had a 58% chance of making the cut. Then, he fell apart. Right now, through 16 holes, he's +1 for the tournament.

Brooks Koepka - 26.9%

Koepka looks dead in the water. At +1, he's just a stroke off the cut line, but the way he's playing golf leads one to think he's basically just going through the motions right now.

Will Zalatoris - 85.9%

Will Zalatoris has improved his chances to make the cut by playing 1-under-par golf to this point on Friday. He looks much sharper than yesterday and the numbers show he's all but a lock to make the cut.

Tony Finau - 35.2%

Finau started the day with a 60% chance to make the cut. Since then, He's +1 on the day and +2 for the tournament. He's going to have to turn things around now if he wants to make the cut.
