Viktor Hovland British Open Odds Breakdown

This has been by far Viktor Hovland's best showing at a major in his career. He's never finished higher than tied for 12th in his career and ironically that came last year at this same event. In 2022, he missed the cut at the US Open, was T41 at the PGA Championship, and T27 at the Masters.

According to the Viktor Hovland British Open odds, Hovland is looking at a 36.36% chance of victory today. The interesting thing to note is that McIlroy, who has the same score as Hovland is given a 52.36% chance of winning. The oddsmakers clearly see a gap here which is why Hovland's odds are significantly worse.

At 9:50 am, both of these guys will head out together and we will likely watch them battle it out to see who comes out on top, unless we see Cam Smith or Cam Young go on some crazy run here. This is going to be a fun day of golf.
