LIV Golf Rumors: Cameron Smith Rumored to Be Joining LIV Golf for $90 Million

Another one bites the dust, this time on the heels of his first major victory. Cameron Smith is reportedly joining the LIV just hours after winning the British Open yesterday. Smith was able to defeat Rory McIlroy in an impressive come-from-behind victory and now looks like he will be making the jump over to the LIV.

Cameron Smith shot a 64 the day after dropping on the leaderboard because of a 73. His total score of 268 put him at 20-under par for the tournament holding off Cameron Young by one stroke.

After the win, Cam Smith was pretty dismissive of the idea of jumping over to the LIV Tour but allegedly just hours later he was signed for a cool $90 million.

Sure, it has to be tough to answer questions like that after arguably the biggest win of your career but that's the reality that these golfers are living in right now with this controversial league.

Losing Cameron Smith would be a big blow to the PGA Tour. He is one of the more likable and marketable guys on the tour and just had a major win under his belt. LIV Golf is back in action in New Jersey from July 29 through July 31.

We'll see if we get the official word later today but here is the list of guys who made the jump over to LIV so far and it appears like Cam Smith is the latest.
