LIV Golf Rumors: Cam Smith, Joaquin Niemann Lead Pack of 6 Golfers Officially Joining LIV

It's been rumored for a while but it was finally made official earlier this morning. Cam Smith and Joaquin Niemann will officially be joining LIV Golf according to the latest reports from Dylan Dethier.

As we previously mentioned, it's been rumored for over a month that Cam Smith will be joining LIV Golf but still, it doesn't make this official statement any less significant. Supposedly, he was offered $90 million to make the jump over to LIV Golf after his British Open win.

The 29-year-old, who is very much still in his prime, ditching the PGA for LIV Golf is a huge deal and it looks like this is only the beginning.

LIV Golf Rumors: Who is joining LIV?

Cameron Smith

Cameron Smith is the biggest name here, not too long off of his first major win at the British Open. He won three times this year at The Open Championship, the PLAYERS Championship, and the Sentry Tournament of Champions. He's one of the sport's biggest names right in his prime.

Joaquin Niemann

Joaquin Niemann is just 23 years old from Chile and has two PGA Tour wins under his belt in his young career. He won the Genesis Invitational and also saw top-five finishes at the Memorial Tournament and the World Wide Technology Championships this year. LIV Golf definitely can't be called the retirement tour anymore.

Marc Leishman

Leishman is a veteran, with six career PGA Tour victories to his name. His best finish was T3 at the Shriners Children's Open this year and his last win comes back in 2020-2021 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
