NHL Odds: Colorado Avalanche Open As Betting Favorite to Win 2021 Stanley Cup
It’s only been a few days since Tampa Bay Lightning won the 2020 Stanley Cup but sportsbooks are already looking ahead to next year, and they’ve declared the most likely winner.
The Colorado Avalanche have been installed as the bookies’ favorite with their odds of +800 indicative of an implied chance of 11.1% that they will go all the way in 2021.
However, their advantage over this season's champion Tampa Bay Lightning is small; the latter has odds of +950, making them an extremely close second.
Even closer in third come the Vegas Golden Knights with odds of +1000, with the Boston Bruins (+1200) and Philadelphia Flyers (+1575) making up the top five.
This year’s runners-up, the Dallas Stars, just make the top ten with odds of +2200, while at the other end of the list the Detroit Red Wings have the worst price in the market; their odds of +25000 indicate just a 0.40% chance of lifting the Cup.
