Pittsburgh Penguins +220 (Bet $100 to win $220)

Just because Evgeni Malkin wants to test the waters, doesn't mean that he is definitely leaving the Penguins. It would be so hard to see Malkin finish his career away from Sidney Crosby and the Penguins. Supposedly the term of the deal is what is keeping these two sides apart right now.

Although, despite being the favorites I will say that the extension to Rickard Rakell, five years $25 million ($5 million AAV) may complicate things when it comes to remaining under the cap.

New York Rangers +900 (Bet $100 to win $900)

They're a little further down on the odds list but this move would be so Rangers it's almost too obvious. Mark Messier, Wayne Gretzky, Jaromir Jagr, Martin St. Louis, etc. all played with the Rangers towards the end of their career. They love the former legend route.

Plus, it's been reported that the Rangers are unlikely to retain Andrew Copp so they could use another center behind Mike Zibanejad in this lineup. Malkin, even at his age, would be a very solid second-line center for a team that is looking for veteran experience with a winning pedigree.
