Swiss Skydiver is the new 6/1 favorite for September’s Kentucky Oaks, having been as long as 16/1 just weeks ago.
An impressive run at Oaklawn Park, in which the 3-year old filly won by 2 and a half lengths from Venetian Harbor has propelled Swiss Skydiver to be favorite with UK sportsbook Bet365. The aforementioned Venetian Harbor was the previous favorite, but following the victory she’s been leapfrogged according to many books.
The contest looks set to recommence in September, with the flagship race likely to be run behind closed doors. It’s neck and neck currently with some books favouring Venetian Harbor over the Swiss Skydiver.
Finite is another horse in the frame according to oddsmakers but it’s the rivalry between Swiss Skydiver and Venetian Harbor that we’re all excited to see.
