Kentucky Derby Odds: Favorite Zandon Given 25% Chance to Win 2022 Kentucky Derby
This time of year, Kentucky Derby odds are king in the horse racing world. On Monday, we finally got a look at Kentucky Derby post positions for the 148th iteration of the race, and Kentucky Derby odds began to take shape.
At the top of the current Kentucky Derby odds sits Zandon, a horse owned by Jeff Drown that will have all eyes on it when the race gets underway on Saturday, May 7.
Zandon isn't quite as big of a favorite as last year's 2/1 odds that opened for Essential Quality, but it's clear that Drown's horse is the one to beat, according to Kentucky Derby odds.

What is the best post position for the Kentucky Derby?
Historically, you want to be in post 5 – this is because it has produced the most winners and runner-ups! It’s also got the highest win percentage out of any draw. Obviously, just because you draw the fifth position doesn't mean you are going to win the Kentucky Derby, but it's a good start.
This could mean good things for  Smile Happy in 2022.
