Next Manager Odds: Chelsea Sack Frank Lampard, Who Will Replace Him?

It’s being reported by media outlets in the UK that Chelsea manager Frank Lampard will be sacked by the Premier League side today, with the Blues sat in 9th place in the Premier League table. Chelsea management have been left with no choice but to sack their legendary former player after a run of five defeats in eight games has left them without a hope of winning the Premier League title and looking more and more likely to miss out on qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Chelsea are now currently +12500 to win the Premier League, which translates to 125/1 – the books don’t think they have a chance, which is simply not good enough for a team that spent hundreds of millions on new players in the summer.  View the betting for the Premier League title here.

Chelsea Next Manager Odds

Before the news of the sacking of Lampard broke this morning, the UK books already had a betting market on who will replace him. Ex-PSG manager Thomas Tuchel was the heavy betting favorite at prohibitive odds of 1/10 (-1000) before betting suspended, which implies the Blues already have their new man lined up. If the betting is incorrect, there’s a few interesting names listed at big prices as you can see below, including ex-player Andriy Shevchenko (8/1) and Liverpool-legend Steven Gerrard (16/1).
