An own goal from their goalkeeper Merle Frohms’ to keep France (not really) in the match as the second half expired. 

Looking back over their matchups in this competition, Germany has dominated England over the years in the Euros to the tune of a +11 goal differential, winning all four meetings by an average of nearly three goals per game. In what will be their ninth appearance in the Euro finals, 69% of all Euro finals ever played, Germany has won on all eight occasions including a 6-2 win over the Brits in 2009.
