Real Madrid vs. Eintracht Frankfurt Breakdown
The most successful club in the history of European Football, La Liga giants, Real Madrid claimed their record 14th Champions League trophy, this past May when they defeated heavy favorites, Liverpool to cap off one of the most impressive runs in the history of the illustrious tournament by knocking off PSG, defending UCL winners, Chelsea, and reigning Premier League Champions, Manchester City before defeating Liverpool in the Final. For Madrid rivals, fans of rival clubs rejoiced when PSG star talisman, Kylian Mbappe rejected the Galacticos to stay home in France to extend his contract with PSG. However, all Real Madrid did was beat out the likes of the aforementioned PSG as well as reported Premier League suitors, Manchester United and Liverpool to secure the signature of 22-year-old phenom midfielder, Aurelien Tchouameni from Ligue One-side, Monaco for a reported $82 million fee.
On the opposite side of the pitch from Madrid, tonight will be the winners of the Europa League, Eintracht Frankfurt. En route to securing their second Europa League Championship, Frankfurt defeated the likes of Real Betis, Barcelona, West Ham, and Rangers to claim their second European title. However, Frankfurt lost star midfielder/wing back, Filip Kostic to Juventus but managed to sign AC Milan youngster, Jens Petter Hauge in addition to 2014 World Cup hero, Mario Gotze over from PSV.
