The MLS Is Back Tournament is set to start in Orlando and despite Los Angeles FC being betting favorites, it's actually an outsider that has taken the highest percentage of bets through Oddschecker.
The Colorado Rapids, available at +4000, have taken a huge 36% of wagers on the tournament. It's a quite astonishing number for a team currently the 16th favorite with sportsbooks to end up as champions.
More traditional teams are next up in terms of wagers placed with +800 Seattle Sounders taking 27% of the betting and 2017 champions Toronto FC third, at +1400, making up 18% of all bets taken.
The Rapids being so popular is a huge surprise but it doesn't look set to be the last one.
