Thiago's transfer from European Champions, Bayern Munich to Liverpool was cheered across Merseyside. The creative Spanish international is known for his ability on the ball and his metronomic passing.

He was initially listed as 50/1 with one sportsbooks to win the PFA Player Of The Year but that has moved in to just +900.

Bettors are exciting by his chances now that he's part of the midfield who won the Premier League title last season. A huge 62.61% of bets in the past 7 days have been on the former Barcelona youth product.

In contrast, Kevin De Bruyne, favorite for the award at +400 has just 6.19% of bets in the past 7 days, which leaves him third in the rankings.

It's actually James Rodriguez, a new signing at Liverpool's city rivals, Everton, who has taken the highest number of bets besides Thiago. The Colombian accounts for 13.36% of bets, and given his displays in the first two games of the season, could make a mockery of his +4000 odds.

Thiago's new teammate Mohamed Salah is fourth, with just 2.93% of bets at odds of +1200.
