Jurgen Klopp to Leave Liverpool? Klopp Most Likely Next Manager to Leave
Jurgen Klopp the Favorite to Be Next Manager to Leave Club
Last season, Liverpool ran away with the English Premier League crown. Not only did they win the EPL, they scored the second most points in Premier League history en route to one of the most dominant seasons ever.
Now, just one season later, things aren't going as smoothly for the Reds. Through 24 matches, Liverpool has 40 points and is in fourth place in the league, sitting just a single point clear of fifth place Chelsea.
This weekend they went ahead 1-0 over 3rd place Leicester City before the Foxes came storming back, scoring three straight to extend their lead over Liverpool in the standings.
It seems unfathomable to imagine that the turmoil would lead to the exit of Jurgen Klopp, the manager that led this squad to its first league title since the 1989-1990 season. But, if the betting odds are any indication, we may see Klopp leaving the club sometime soon. Klopp is currently the favorite to be the next EPL manager to leave his club at +100.

US sportsbooks aren’t permitted to price these markets up, but Klopp is the favorite on every UK sportsbook that is offering the wager. At +100, his odds imply a 50% chance he is the next manager to leave his club.
Even though the oddmakers are calling it a toss-up, the betting public has been a little more certain that Klopp will leave Liverpool. As of Saturday’s loss to Leicester, 74.66% of bets are on Klopp to be the next EPL manager to leave his club. Even more staggering is the money on Klopp as 91.11% of the handle is on the former Borussia Dortmund manager.
Klopp is from Germany and had never managed a club outside the country prior to coming to Liverpool in 2015. He’s had a great deal of success as the manager of the club, but that hasn’t stopped fans calling for his exit.
As for other options in the market, Klopp is more than twice as likely to be the next EPL manager to exit as the second shortest option, Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson (+400). Jose Mourinho (+500), Steve Bruce (+900) and Sam Allardyce (+1200) round out the top five.
