Harry Kane Transfer Odds: Bettors Backing Tottenham Exit To Man City
Harry Kane Wants To Leave Tottenham
There has been speculation over Harry Kane's future at Tottenham Hotspur since the star striker refused to discuss his future at the club, during the international break when he was on duty with the England national team.
Today a report appeared in The Athletic claiming to have an inside track on Harry Kane's thoughts. It's said that the forward is unhappy with progress that the club has made since he signed his latest deal, just before the 2018 World Cup.
The club has gone from competing in the Champions League final and finishing second in the Premier League to sacking Mauricio Pochettino and replacing him with Jose Mourinho. Since then the play on the field has been dire and results have only been getting worse, although the team could win the Carabao Cup and have reached the final of that competition, although it's very much in the second or third tier of status.
It now appears that Harry Kane is set to push for a move from his boyhood club if they fail to qualify for the Champions League and can't offer him the chance to win trophies, which his undoubted ability deserves.
Harry Kane Transfer Odds
Spurs are known as tough negotiators with Daniel Levy having a fearsome reputation. For that reason Kane is 1/16 (-1600) to stay at Spurs but that will likely move as the market wakes up to this news. Man City are favorites to land the striker if he leaves North London. They are 4/1 (+400) in the betting and need a striker to replace Sergio Aguero, with the Argentine legend leaving the Etihad at the end of the season.
City's local rivals Manchester United are second favorites in the betting at 6/1, with those two clubs a leap head of long term suitors Real Madrid who are 16/1.
Things have been made murkier by reports that both Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku and Kylian Mbappe may also being potential transfers this summer, which would mean that 4 of the world's best 5 strikers would likely be changing clubs, with only Robert Lewandowski staying at Bayern Munich.
A potentially interesting destination for Kane could be PSG, with the striker 30/1 to link up with his former boss in Paris. If they were to sell Mbappe then they'd likely have to go after another world star, although it's reported in The Athletic that Kane would prefer to stay in the Premier League.
