Yesterday was a massive day for the state of New York. At 9:00 am ET, it officially became legal to place wagers with online sportsbooks in the state of New York and man did New Yorkers show out.

According to GeoComply, in just 12 hours the state of New York became the top state for sports betting in the US.

With the launch, New York eclipsed the second closest ranked state by roughly 2.5 times. Just insane numbers, and it's only the beginning for those wagering in the state of New York.
