Borat 2 Oscars Odds: Sacha Baron Cohen Given 2.44% Chance Of Winning Best Actor Award
The odds of Sasha Baron Cohen winning the Oscar for Best Actor at the 93rd Academy Awards have been set at +40/1 (+4000), meaning oddsmakers are giving him a 2.44% implied chance.
Cohen, originally from London, is the star of Borat Subsequent Moviefilm – the sequel to the 2006 original – which has hit the news this week after a leaked scene showed Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani in a rather uncompromising position.
Cohen’s odds of +4000 place him as a rank outsider, with 24 individuals deemed likelier than him to scoop the prize.

Anthony Hopkins is the market favorite with odds of +450, putting him well clear of a string of joint-second favorites including Eddir Remaybe, George Clooney and Gary Oldman.
Only Jason Momoa, Richard Jenkins, Jason Leigh and Logan Lerman have longer odds than Cohen in the market.
OddsChecker spokesperson Pete Watt: “It seems that oddsmakers don’t believe that Cohen’s performance will be worthy of an Oscar this time around, although we’ve had plenty of winners in the past with longer odds than his.”
“Oddsmakers are yet to price up the film in the Best Picture category, but once they do it will be interesting to how those odds compare to Cohen’s in this market.”
