Royal Baby Odds: Sportsbooks Cut Odds On Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Calling The Royal Baby Kamala

There's plenty of talk surrounding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, a couple that clearly divide opinion around the world. Love them or hate them the public and media can't get enough of the duo. Online sportsbooks are giving a 29% chance that the Royal couples appearance on Oprah next month will be the most watched US show in 2021.
Nobody knows what they are going to announce on Oprah, but plenty are speculating it could be the gender or even name of their child which is due later in the year. Betting on the name of the Royal baby has become a common practice in the UK, with online sportsbooks taking thousands of wagers on the new arrivals title.

Last week an irregular betting pattern in the UK caused a huge shake up in the Royal baby odds market, with one name in particular surging towards favoritism. On Thursday, online sportsbooks had odds of 100/1 (+10000) that the Royal baby would be named Kamala, however, by Friday night these odds had been cut to 16/1 (+1600).
Does somebody on the inside know something? We don't know, but a movement like this in the betting market is normally caused by a sudden surge in bets for a certain outcome.
Diana and Arthur remain the betting favorites in the market at 10/1 (+1000), which implies there's a 9.1% chance the Royal baby is named after Prince Harry's mother.
The name Allegra was added to the betting market over the weekend, and has been installed as the third favorite. Sportsbooks are offering odds of 11/1 (+1100), that Meghan and Harry's new baby will be called Allegra, which suggests there's 8.3% chance of this happening.
"Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear to have a bit more freedom with their baby name given the recent announcement distancing them from the rest of the Royal family. The couple tend to make decisions to suit themselves not the hierarchy, therefore a less traditional baby name wouldn't be a surprise at all. According to the odds there's now a 5.9% chance the Royal baby is called Kamala, and personally, I believe Kamla should be a front-runner in the market. Why not name your baby after one of the most inspirational women in the world?"
"We don't know what the Royal couple will be announcing on Oprah, or if they will announce anything at all. However, the sportsbooks have set odds of 9/1 (+900) that they will announce the babies name on the show.
