Her biggest competition is Sir Kenneth Branagh. The director of Belfast is given +1300 odds, or an implied 7.1% chance to win the award. Belfast is the oddsmakers’ second favorite to win Best Picture.

Meanwhile, Steven Spielberg is looking to join only John Ford, Frank Capra, and William Wyler as directors who’ve won the award three times. The West Side Story director is given +1600 odds, or an implied 5.9% chance to achieve the historic feat.

Jane Campion seems a lock to take home Best Director. With -600 odds, oddsmakers seem sure that she has this one in the bag. Bettors tend to agree with 66.7% of bets placed on her. Branagh has the second most bets placed on him at 14.1%. It would take a major upset for Campion to not win Best Director for the first time in her storied career.
