Next James Bond Odds: Chiwetel Ejiofor Sees Massive Boost in His 007 Odds

Finally, someone has supplanted Henry Cavill to take over second place on the Next James Bond market. The man to do that is none other than Marvel star Chiwetel Ejiofor. His next James Bond odds have skyrocketed.

Next James Bond Odds Breakdown

Ejiofor is now given +400 odds, or an implied 20% chance to become the next James Bond. Only Rege-Jean Page has better odds at +350. Meanwhile, Cavill has fallen to third at +450. This is a massive change from this time last month.

On May 19th, Page was increasing his odds lead, as his odds shortened to +225. Meanwhile, Cavill was second at +560. Ejiofor wasn’t even among the top 15 on the odds market, previously sitting at +2500 to land the role. That means Ejiofor has seen his implied chance of becoming the next James Bond increase from 3.8% to 20%.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen an actor shoot up the odds market without warning. Aidan Turner did it earlier this year, but even he wasn’t able to get past Cavill and move into second on the market. There’s clearly something going on with Ejiofor for oddsmakers to make this move. However, Rege-Jean Page remains the favorite, as he has been since January of 2022.
